8 Tips for a Happier, Healthier Life

We all want to lead a happy, healthy life. However, it is much easier to say what we want than actually get what we want. So, I made it simple for you. Here are 8 simple tips to make your life happier and healthier.
1. Forget Regret
Sounds cliché, right? It may be so, but it is essential. Learn to forget your past blunders, mistakes and bad decisions or choices. Forget anything in your past that may lead you to second guess who you are today. Every day is a new slate, remember that.
2. Clean Eating
Clean eating is one of the best paths to a healthier lifestyle. Pick up fresh produce, raw nuts and things like almond milk to start out your healthy eating plan. In order to truly lead a healthier lifestyle you need to remember that you can't just have a one-week crash diet, you need to truly change over your eating habits to really make a difference.
3. Live a Little
You need to be adventurous. That vacation you want to take, go for it! That new job you want to apply for, sit down and apply! That tattoo you've always wanted, set up your appointment! You truly only have one life to live, so make sure you're living your life how you want to. Be adventurous, be spontaneous, live more than just a little--live a LOT!
4. Set Goals
Sit down and write out a list of the goals you want to achieve. The list can be on a small-scale (a goal list for this week) or on a big scale (a bucket list for your life.) However long the list may be, make one. Then don't just push that list aside, go for those goals.
5. Dream Bigger
You need to dream bigger. If your dreams don't frighten you a little (or maybe even a lot) then they are not big enough! The people who are actually crazy enough to think that they can achieve the dreams they have in life are the ones who actually ACHIEVE THEIR DREAMS.
6. Take Some Time
Every week set aside some time for yourself. I feel like I really struggle with this one, but when I do take some time for myself every week I feel like I not only can manage my stress better, but I am overall a happier person with a better attitude. Read your favorite novel, sit in a coffee shop or just go for a run--but TAKE THAT TIME all for you.
7. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise
Honestly, the only way I make it through my week is by exercising. Whether it be going for a run on the treadmill, going to my group yoga class or lifting, I NEED to make it to the gym every day. Working out will help release endorphins, and endorphins naturally relieve stress. I find that the days I don't make it to the gym I am groggier, move slowly and generally lack a good attitude.
8. Express Gratitude
Take a few moments every day to reflect on the things in your life that you are grateful for. It may be your awesome job, your loving family or your amazing friends (or maybe all 3) but make sure you keep those things in mind. Not only should you reflect on the things you are thankful for, but make sure those people in your life know that you are thankful for them. Not only will it increase your happiness, but it will do the same for them.
