Tim McGraw has been a multi-platinum-selling country superstar since 1994, earning dozens of awards for his music. He was even named one of Playgirl's Top 10 Sexiest Men in 1997. And while, like any successful artist, he's faced his share of harsh critics, there's one critic he can't ever seem to please: himself.
"I can't stand to watch myself on screen or on TV, and I can't stand to hear myself sing," Tim tells the Chicago Tribune. "I don't think I'll ever reach a point where I think I'm good enough to do this."
Tim may require the encouragement of his three daughters -- Gracie, 12, Maggie, 11 and Audrey, 7 -- to change his mind about seeing himself onscreen, since 'The Blind Side,' in which he co-stars with Sandra Bullock, hits theaters Nov. 20. Apparently, the girls have influenced him -- for better or worse -- when it comes to music they like.
"Oh, yeah ... there's some stuff I can't stand," he says. "I'm not going to name anyone because I'll run into them somewhere. But my oldest daughter listens to '70s rock, which is my favorite. They like Ne-Yo, and I like Ne-Yo, too," he says of the R&B singer-songwriter, with whom he's actually co-written a few tunes.
Tim admits that as his girls continue to grow and mature, approaching their teen years, he's just trying to be patient and learn the ropes. "It teaches you to shut up," he says, with a laugh. "You don't have any say. It takes them a long time to get ready, so I've had to learn patience."
As he has had to do with wife, Faith Hill, when it comes to one particular habit of hers. She loves to shop! "She's going to single-handedly fix the economy," he jokes.
Maybe she's buying copies of 'Southern Voice,' Tim's album which was released last week.
How cool is this? LuAnn, faithful listener) attended the Country Music Hall of Fame show that went down Tuesday! She was sweet enough to email me a full review and is letting me post it for everyone to read! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did and thanks again LuAnn!!
Hi Amy! Just wanted to let you know I went to that fabulous show that Keith Urban and Friends put on for the Country Music Hall of Fame. It was incredible! It started at 7:30 and went until 11:30! I took my son who just turned 16 along with me. We had seats that were 3rd row from the catwalk! They had a camera above our heads all during the show so I'm wondering if the show was being videotaped or if that was for the live stream they did. I'm not quite sure. I will send in some pics after I catch up on some rest. We drove down there! The reason for that was I heard it was getting into the peak of Fall there, and it was a beautiful drive, especially in Kentucky. It was like a dream driving through Kentucky. We stopped off to see the Corvette Museum in Kentucky. Very cool! I know a gal that bought one of those expensive "Sweet Thing" packages and participated in the after-party. I will give you some of the dirt on that when I chat with her in the next day. The whole show was like a dream. Everyone in the line-up was so beautiful. Dierks Bentley never sat still for even a moment. He hops around like he's got ants in his pants. Vince Gill was definitely in one of his more "chubby" moments in life (you know how you guys did that contest a while back on whether he was in a skinny or chubby mode at that point in his life). This was the chubby mode. He's kinda reminds me of Alan Jackson, in that if you give him a microphone it's like he gets a little nervous or something, and he usually says the first thing that comes to his mind and sometimes it's kinda dumb or unbelievable. Vince acknowledged that his beautiful wife was sitting in the audience tonight, and then the spotlight was put on her. She was sitting in the first row of a lower bowl seat. Then he said how beautiful she was and how he felt so fortunate to have such a wonderful woman in his life. Then he said, "Honey, I'm just saying all of this so that I hopefully will get "lucky" later on tonight!" My kid, who just turned 16 was sitting right next to me. Can you say "uncomfortable"?~! Little Big Town was awesome! When they performed "Boondocks", I was like Dierks, and I couldn't sit still! And it was so cool when Brad Paisley came out to jam with Keith. They went into upper lower bowl seats on opposite sides of the arena and it was being videotaped. Quite a surprise for the ticket purchasers in those sections! There were signs posted on the wall as they went into their section that they were going to be videotaped during a point in the show. Keith jammed with everyone during the entire show. It was so cool. One of the most memorable moments of the show was when Taylor Swift performed "Fifteen". I had goosebumps because she was so beautiful and sounded so awesome. Can you imagine what my 16 year old son was thinking. His camera was snapping pics like crazy, and after he was text messaging all his friends in MN and they were so jealous. Pretty cool and memorable moment for his young life. I gotta go catch some z's. I'm running on adrenaline at the moment, but haven't slept in like 48 hours or so. I put 1900 miles on a rental car in just 4 days. Quite the ride! But I have to be honest, I really did not want to leave Nashville. My love of country music that I have carried all my life makes it feel like home. ~Lu(LuAnn Tacke)
My cousin, Garrett, caught a VERY large Muskie. He sent an excerpt from a story he wrote about the experience and a picture after I told him many of you had requested it- here you go!
"I feel very fortunate to have landed such a fish. There was a lot of luck involved and the stars definitely aligned for everything to come together as perfect as it did. I also owe a lot to Josh for not only deciding to fish the spot, but also for doing everything right from the moment the fish was hooked. Looking back, there are a few things I?d have done differently, but as far as the fish goes I am glad I released her. I look forward to many future trips to find her again with a few more pounds and inches. As I?m writing this, we have yet to find a taxidermist who can make a mold for such a long fish. What a problem to have!"
Garrett King
Garrett emailed me and he found a taxidermist that went out of his way to find a mold- here's what he sent me...
"I looked for over a month before finally finding a big enough mold to use for a replica of my fish. Rick of Lax Taxidermy has been nothing but helpful and cooperative, along with very excited, since I first called him. I am so glad I now know I can get a replica made and have a chance to get up there and catch her again. It's also nice to know someone else has a chance to catch her as well."

Here's what some artists had to say, via Twitter, about hip-hop artist, Kanye West, cutting off Taylor Swift in the middle of her acceptance speech at the MTV VMA's last night!
**WARNING- some of the artists used strong language!
"Sorry y'all but we're just a little bit protective of Taylor Swift around here!! Hey Kanye.. By around here, I mean the world!! Moron...." -- Blake Shelton
"Kanye West is the classic case of a guy who never got his @ kicked as a kid! You give the rest of us a bad RAP!" -- David Nail
"Tator Tot, you handled yourself with grace. Kanye, go grow some f-ing balls b----! don't mess with my lil sis!! -- Kellie Pickler, who later tweeted, "I apologize for my language, I'm just f-ing pissed."
"Pretty much would love to get redneck on Kanye's ****** right now. Classless." -- Randy Houser
"Taylor Swift won me as a fan for life for her grace, as did Beyonce...humility and a humble spirit go a long way in this life and the next. -- Rissi Palmer
"Kanye when're you gonna figure out you're NOT the "voice of our generation?" No one thinks you're as awesome as you're convinced you are." -- Love and Theft's Brian Bandas
"This just in: Serena Williams is now dating Kanye West!!!" -- Oak Ridge Boys' Joe Bonsall
"Let's invite Kanye West to the CMAs and see how long he lasts!" -- CMT's Katie Cook
"KanyeWest is a lowlife. He needs to have his @@@ kicked in the middle of the stage right now! What a piece of @@@@!!! Go TAYLOR SWIFT." -- John Rich
"I wish people knew when to keep their mouth shut! Love you T!!" -- Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott
"Like school in the summertime -- no class." -- Michelle Branch
And from her fellow nominees:
"My heart goes out to Taylor Swift. She is a sweet and talented girl and deserved her moment. She should know we all love her." -- Pink
"F--- YOU KANYE. IT'S LIKE YOU STEPPED ON A KITTEN." -- Katy Perry
Everyone and their twin sister is freaking out about Michelle Obama's shorts! Some are saying "they're too short", others say "leave her alone, the shorts are fine".
I say-
If she was wearing the shorts in question to meet the Queen, that would be inappropriate, but was wasn't! These pictures were snapped when she was doing something other than meeting with "the important people". The day I see a picture of Michelle Obama wearing sweatpants that say "Juicy" on the bum (as she meets the Prime Minister of Sweden) I'll get worked up!
Here's the pic-

If you think your hair was bad in your High School senior photo- don't worry- you're not alone! Check out this site with TOTALLY RAD (awesomely bad) BAD...
Even thoug her performance was taped, it's still a chance to see Katie Holmes' singing and dancing chops! Ch-ch-ch-check it out!
