The answer: 59.

That's what Nurture Replenish Skincare's survey found.  They asked 2,000 women age 45-plus to come to that conclusion and many others.  59 was also the age that women thought it was time to ditch high heels, tight clothes and false nails and try to look "more natural."

Some other findings-

Women surveyed seemed to agree that they felt beautiful at any age, with 74 percent saying they were happy to let nature take its course without resorting to extreme anti-aging measures. Fifty-nine percent said they looked younger than they actually are, and only a quarter would consider cosmetic surgery. Also, only 1 in 10 thought that heavy eyeliner was inappropriate past age 50.

With the lipstick, the heels, fake nails and tight clothes- I think it's such a case by case basis- it's hard to put a number on it.  It's nice to have one as a "rule of thumb" but these rules can definitely be broken!
