The heat didn’t keep motorcycle riders away this past Sunday for the second annual K102 Ride for St. Jude. Motorcyclists flocked to the Hitching Post in Fridley to kick off the ride and support a great cause. The parking lot was packed with all different kinds of bikes; I’ve never seen so many motorcycles in one place in my life! People of all ages came out to drive and ride along. Randy Houser even flew in for the occasion! Having him there in support of St. Jude was a very cool addition to the event. Shortly after Randy arrived, everyone got ready to hit the road on the roughly 100-mile trek.
The roar of all the motorcycles revving up before heading out on the road was ear piercing, but exciting nonetheless! Both the line of bikers and noise seemed to be never-ending; this was definitely a good thing. The ride concluded at Bogart’s in Apple Valley where riders were treated to food and some live tunes by 2 Mile Final. Seeing so many people come out and support such a great cause was amazing and I was glad to be a part of it. St. Jude does so many great things for families all over the country and being there with K102 to help raise money for them was awesome!!!
