In case you didn't hear over the weekend, the NHL lockout is OVER!! Yes, this is not a joke! The announcement was made on January 6th that games would resume after 113 days and 510 games missed! Games are expected to resume in the next two weeks, most likely starting on January 19th, 2013.
Surprisingly, this lockout wasn't even the worst lockout the NFL has had! The worst was in the 2004-2005 season which lasted 310 days, causing 1,230 missed games, in other words the entire season.
So long story short; hooray hockey is back!!! Now, instead of being depressed that the Vikings lost in the first round of playoffs, we can think of happy thoughts of how good the Wild is going to be!
GO WILD!!!
