Country star George Strait has announced at a press conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, that he will no longer be touring following his already current committed dates.
Despite the announcement to stop touring, Strait and UMG Chairman Mike Dungan made it clear during the conference that this does not mean retirement for the country singer.
In an official statement, Strait stated that his decision not to tour anymore will not stop him from performing and making stage appearances, but expressed that he won't be able to choose which festivals and concerts he will perform at. He also proclaimed that he does plan to use his time to record and make more music.
