Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney's Brothers of the Sun tour stop in Denver, Colorado came just a day after the July 20 shooting at the movie theatre in Aurora, Colorado.

Deciding that the show must go on, Tim McGraw took to the stage and offered his condolences to the fans, who were still trying to make sense of what happened.

"I'm thinking about y'all and we're praying for y'all," McGraw said while on stage. "Our job tonight is to come out here for just a little while and put a smile on your face, to cut loose, have a good time and have a party in remembrance of all the fine folks who lost their lives. But before we do that, we wanted to do something for you guys that we thought might lift your souls a bit."

He then went on to sing a Christian song, titled "More Power to Ya," before continuing with his own music.

Other country stars took to social media to share their thoughts on the tragedy.

"My heart and prayers go out to the folks in Aurora, CO," Reba McEntire tweeted. "I'm so sorry this has happened. I don't understand it."

"There are no words to describe how terrible the Colorado theatre shooting is," Brad Paisley tweeted. "I'm so sad. Praying for these families."

Luke Bryan wrote on Facebook: "Prayers for all those affected by the tragic events in colorado."
