On Wednesday, Luke Bryan celebrated the success of his platinum-certified album, Tailgates & Tanlines, by rocking out for the first time on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Fallon presented the 46th Annual County Music Awards nominee with a plaque depicting the seven million downloads the album received in its first week-setting the record for a male country solo artist. T&T, which is Bryan's third studio album, also sold 145,000 copies in its first week.
Bryan has been nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for this year's anticipated CMA Awards. The nominated "Tailgates and Tanlines," ranked at Number 1 on the Billboard's Country albums chart when it was released last August. Bryan, whose singles "Drunk on You" and "I Don't Want This Night To End" both peaked at Number 1 on the charts, was nominated once before for New Artist of the Year in 2010, but this years show would mark his first win.
