It's kind of inevitable when you have country artists touring together that eventually, they will collaborate and write a song together. In a recent interview with Taste of Country, Brantley Gilbert talks about the song he wrote with Eric Church during the 'Blood, Sweat and Beers' tour.
So what do you get when you blend the outlaw country of Eric Church and Brantley Gilber together? Apparently you get a funny, ironic song...
Brantley tells Taste of Country, "It'a funny one! He [Eric Church] had a buddy who called him and was talking about his job. He said, 'Man, I'm working 50 hours and getting paid for 40... I'm thinking about just quitting. I'm already broke!"
"So we just kind of put that into music. The song's called 'Why The Hell Not, I'm Already Broke' [laughs]."
