In July, Kristin Chenoweth was injured in an accident while on-set of CBS's 'The Good Wife' which caused her to eventually leave her role on the drama.
Chenoweth was rushed to the hospital when a gust of wind caught a piece of the lighting scaffolding on set, striking Chenoweth and knocking her to the ground, where her head impacted the concrete. In a recent interview, she tells People Magazine, that she is "only doing things that really matter" now.
“I’m getting along so good, but for example, about three weeks ago I found out I have three cracked teeth from the accident,” she shares. “It’s an ongoing recovery and it’s not going to be fast. I have neck issues and a 5-inch skull fracture, [but] that’s healing.”
After the accident, Chenoweth admits that she was in a bad place and feeling sorry for herself and had to have her mother set her straight. “I said, ‘Why me, why me, why me, why me?’ and she said, ‘Why not you? You’re human like everyone else. Things happen. You’re no [more] special or worse than everyone else.’”
The good news is, Kristin Chenoweth will return to co-host the American Country Awards with Trace Adkins on Dec. 17th on FOX.
