I am sure you know by now that I am a HUGE fan of Carrie Underwood. When I was hired at K102, five years ago, I joked the reason I wanted to work here was to meet Carrie! Ok, so that is less of a joke and more of a truthful statement. The funny thing is, every time she has been in town since that point, I have either been out of town or busy working! Heck, I have met, talked with and hung out with her husband Mike Fisher for an afternoon...but no Carrie.

Well, last week I got as close as I may ever get to meeting Carrie at the CMA Awards. I was trying to go and use the bathroom during a commercial break at the arena. When I got to the back of the arena, an usher forced me into a little group of people with the simple instruction to, "stay in front of the white line."

I was very confused as to what in the world was going on but someone quickly elbowed me in the side and pointed upwards. When I lifted my head up, I realized I was in for an up-close view of Carrie's performance of "Blown Away,' that left me....ok I won't say it.

Here were just some of the pictures I was able to take...
