We live in a crazy world where most of the stories we see on the news depict a culture that has a lot of issues. Anytime I spend some time downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul, I sometimes wonder how the world will be shaped by the kids of today. It might just be me but I feel as though children aren't as polite and feel much more entitled these days. Not all of them, it just appears to be a lot of them. Well after reading this story, I once again have faith in the younger generation.

Meet a child by the name of Jacob Hughes. He is an 11-year old boy from Tennessee. Jacob is just like any other kid his age and recently enjoyed the Halloween tradition of trick-or-treating. However, Jacob realized that many kids in the North East were suffering after Hurricane Sandy. So what did he do? He donated all of his candy to allow kids in New York and New Jersey to have a moment of happiness and forget all that is going on around them.

Above is a picture of Jacob and the candy he donated. Below is a picture of a letter that Jacob wrote to the kids in the North East. Well done Jacob, well done!
