Ever since I saw Jana Kramer perform in our K102 Roadhouse, I have been a huge fan of hers. The girl can sing and I feel she is getting ready to leave her stamp on country music. After her performance last night at the K102 Class of 2012 Show, I had a chance to chat with Jana and she answered 11 questions about...well...her. Enjoy!
1 - The last movie you saw was?
Seeking A Friend For The End Of the World – it’s Amazing!
2 - What is the last CD you bought in a store?
Miranda Lambert's Four The Record - love it!
3 - What's your junk food of choice?
Doritios, Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch
4 - What's your favorite TV show?
Grey's Anatomy
5 - One thing people may not know about you is?
I used to figure-skate. I did that for 13 years!
6- What's a nickname your friends call you?
J-Bird (I told her mine were Pattywhack or Chicken-Patty and she couldn't stop laughing)
7 - Describe your thoughts/feeling on using social media...
I think it’s amazing because you get to interact with your fans and I think that’s insanely powerful since they are part of your career - and they should feel like they are part of it.
(Her twitter handle is @kramergirl)
8 - One year from now I want to be...
Nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year
9 - The greatest honor you want to accomplish is...
Being a mom one day
10 - If you could pick your ultimate 5 artist concert lineup (I said she could include herself) - who makes the cut?
Herself, James Taylor (one of her favorties), Brantley Gilbert, Jason Aldean and Eric Church
11- Who is the one artist/band outside of country music that you want to work/collaborate with one day?
Maroon 5 - I love Adam Levine because he has a unique voice and I feel like I have a different voice, so together I think it would be uniquely-different
We also talked about how bummed we were that the NHL is in a lockout. She is a HUGE hockey/Red Wings fan (she is from Michigan, so I suppose that is OK) and hopes we get the season started here soon. Hopefully one day the Wild, Red Wings and Nashville Predators will all be in the same division and we can have some fun Twitter exchanges.
Oh yeah, and about that collaboration with Brantley Gilbert. Jana did tell me they recorded a song and...all she can say right now is that the song is "unique in perspective." I hope we all get a chance to hear it one day!

If you don't have her debut album yet, you can buy it here!
