When I was a kid growing up in Washington, Indiana and Nebraska...I wasn't like my friends. While they were all watching and playing baseball, soccer and football - I was inside watching hockey on TV. My father, out of the blue one day, introduced me to it one evening. I still remember it was the Edmonton Oilers playing the Boston Bruins.

The player they kept talking about was the individual that changed a lot of how my life would be shaped after that evening, Wayne Gretzky. For those of you who don't know who Gretzky is, simply put he is the greatest hockey player to ever play the game. From that night on, I would play hockey in the backyard (we didn't have a driveway) and skate on the only outdoor rink in Lincoln by myself.

When my dad went looking for a new job, he narrowed his search down to Calgary, Alberta and Duluth, Minnesota. He chose Duluth and from the moment we arrived in Minnesota, I have played hockey ever since.

Long story longer...I saw that my sports hero, Gretzky, recently put his house on the market and all I can say is - WOW! Check out some of these pictures of his ($15 MILLION DOLLAR) home...
