SGT Ian Ralston Our son, Sgt Ian Ralston, was critically injured in Iraq on May 29, 2010. Ian is a medic and his Stryker was hit by an IED. Ian was standing in the guard hatch when the IED was detonated. Shrapnel from the blast broke his C2 vertebra and he has a very small piece of that metal lodged in his spinal cord - Ian is paralyzed from the neck down. Ian was at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for three weeks and is now at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis for intense rehab that could last up to a year. Ian is our hero! Thank every one of you who have served or are serving our country to defend our freedoms! We love you Ian! - Sue Ralston
