Psy's "Gangnam Style" dance is not only one of the most viewed videos on YouTube, but it is undoubtedly featured at every Sweet 16 party and high school dance across America.

Who's to say if riding an invisible horse while singing "Hey, sexy lady" will stand the test of time the way YMCA and the chicken dance have, but if any of these forgotten dance trends that were once all the rage are an indication of what's to come –  Gangnam will eventually join these once popular trends as a blast from the past:

  • Macarena: This was by far the most popular dance of the '90's, but ask kids today and they have no idea what the Macarena is.

  • Soulja Boy: Talk about an internet sensation. Back in 2007, everyone was moving to was "Soulja Boy Tell Em - Crank That."

  • Cha Cha Slide: The modern version of the electric slide didn't stay popular for very long.

  • The Dougie: This might just stay relevant with men because of Kate Upton's version of the dance (click here to see it). Kate also has her famous version of the "Cat Daddy" dance and you can see that by clicking here.
