Taylor Swift may take out her anger on ex-boyfriends by writing songs about them, but you'll never hear her yell at them.

She tells Elle magazine, "I don’t think I’ve ever yelled at an ex-boyfriend. Ever. I’m not a yeller. I’m not a fit thrower. If something is done, it’s done.”

And about those songs -- she simply writes them to understand her feelings. "If people want to dissect the lyrics, that’s their right, but it’s all coming from the exact same place as where I started. It’s just something I do to feel better.”

The issue of Elle with Taylor on the cover hits newsstands on February 19th.
