Carrie Underwood’s lead role in NBC’s Sound of Music has gotten the official seal of approval from Julie Andrews.
Speaking at the 10th anniversary of the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the movie legend said of Carrie, “I think she’s great. It’s going to be the original show, I believe, and I think after 40 or 50 years it’s probably time somebody else had a crack at it.”
Back in February, Julie told The Wall Street Journal, “Cinderella has been done, Mary Poppins has been put on stage in the theater. It’s all part of the process of those wonderful properties going out and reaching another audience. No, I won’t be in it, but I do endorse everything.”
