How much is that doggie in the window? According to a new report from the USDA, it’s really freakin' expensive in New York City!
A new study shows that raising a dog in New York City is more expensive than the average cost of raising a child in the U.S. The annual Cost of Raising a Child report estimates that it costs a middle-class, two-parent family between $12,600 and $14,700 each year to raise a child.
But in the Big Apple, the cost of raising a dog will set you back approximately $16,800 – with the high price tag going toward food, kennel visits, dog walkers, grooming and vet visits each year.
