Government Shutdown Causing Chaos in National Parks

Thinking about visiting a National Park sometime soon? You may want to hold off... 

Last week, the federal government went into a partial shutdown, and it seems the National Parks might be most affected. 

According to USA Today

This has left many parks without most of the rangers and others who staff campgrounds and otherwise keep parks running.

"The parks are being forced to take this action for health and safety concerns," Kawasaki-Yee said in a press release issued Monday evening. "Trash receptacles are overflowing, resulting in litter dispersal throughout the area and a threat to wildlife."

So if you're thinking about visiting a National Park for vacation, you may want to switch up your plans for something a little more sanitary. Click here to read more.
